Guru Pt Mohanrao Kallianpurkar, a legendary maestro, conceived and composed the concept of Taal Mala - a chain of 6 different Taals. The musical composition to this Taal Mala was composed by the great Ratanjarkar ji. Passed down to Prerana from Guru Rohini Bhate, this is a rarely performed piece. Prerana revived the original composition with a new-age choreography adapted to the energy and dynamism of modern times. A single 45 minute dance choreography, Prerana's resurrection of Taal Mala premiered in 2018. Having wowed audiences even at NCPA, Mumbai in 2024, Taal Mala is a choreography of power, rigour, intricacy, and grace.
