Choreography
Prerana's choreographic vision has been a combination of visual beauty, rhythmic complexity, and deep emotion. From mythological inspirations to philosophical interpretations to reviving traditional work, her choreographies have been brought to life by the Nrityadham troupe over many years

The planet Saturn, or the God Shani as referred in Indian astrology, inspired this rare 7.5 beats Taal... a novel rhythmic appeal. Music, lyrics, compositions, choreography reflecting the essence of God Shani.

Vrindavan comes alive in this beautiful choreography, as Gopis dance to rhythm, music, and revel in Krishna's beauty. Original writing, music composition, and choreography lends novelty to this graceful piece.

Conceptualised first by Guru Pt Mohanrao Kallianpurkar, Ganga-Jamuna brings together two complementary rhythms - each with its own beauty... its own story to tell... Like two rivers flowing alongside until, at last, they meet...
More Works
Beyond productions, Prerana's works on choreography have spanned a vast variety of musical pieces, rhythmic works - a vast variety of Taals, Thumris, Taranas and Chaturangs, and innovative treatments of traditional compositions. Among them are many original concepts, including music and literature. From short impactful pieces to longer immersive ones, Nrityadham's choreography spans the extent of Kathak's beauty.

Fusion
First choreographed in 2003 - an early innovative piece - this choreography is set to fusion music composed by maestro Pt Bickram Ghosh. A spirited energetic piece to contemporary music.

Shyam Chhabi
An exceptionally written Krishna Stuti by Pt Bindadeen Maharaj becomes a powerful lightning piece in 10 beats. Kathak technique meets Abhinaya and storytelling in this energetic choreography.

Jod Rupak
A concept, an idea, a vision of seeing rhythm cycles through music... With original writing and music, this piece is a unique experience where a traditional Taal is presented to a musical double-cycle.
